• Golf Grip Fundamentals

A good golf grip is a fundamental to the game of golf. Your golf grip should be more or less the same for all clubs and it should allow you to present the club face square to the ball to give you a consistent ball strike with the correct trajectory of shot.

    Standard Golf Grip

It's difficult to explain a good grip on paper but you should seek advice from your local golf professional as a poor grip will make it very difficult to hit the ball properly and on the right trajectory. Also your grip should not be too firm, a lighter grip allows your hands to "release" as the club head hits through the golf ball.

    Putting Golf Grip

For putting you may have a different type of grip and this it not as important to have a "standard" grip. As long as the grip is neutral and does not put a bias on the stroke then there are many ways to grip a putter.
