Shock Win at Wales Open for Huldahl
Danish golfer Jeppe Huldahl became the 3rd golfer to get a surprising win on the European Tour in a mere 4 weeks with his win at the Wales Open at Celtic Manor golf course. Ranked 377th in the world golf rankings, Huldahl beat Swedish golfer Niclas Fasth by 1 shot, finishing 9-under-par on 275.
With a £300,000 winners cheque, the Danish golfer got a cheque almost 30 times bigger than his previous biggest cheque, but didn’t know how well he was doing until the last hole. Huldahl asked his caddie, and was told he just needed to make par to secure his win, and his first top 10 finish on the European Tour!
The golf equipment in Huldahl’s golf bag included a Callaway Golf Driver, and a Callaway FTi Squareway Wood. Huldahl had fantastic success on the greens of the golf course, using his Odyssey Black Series i Putter for a mere 28 putts per round, the joint fewest in the competition.
